Carl's Story
School
1) What kind of people did you hang out with?
I hung out with different types of friends, no one particular clique really. I knew a variety of people and just made my rounds as I saw fit.
2) Were you involved in any organizations or clubs?
FFA (Future Farmers of America). Wow! What the hell was I thinking, ha ha. Thankfully that was my freshman year and I wised up. After that I didn't participate in much of anything like that.
3) Did you have school pride?
No, I can't say that I did. I attended some of the school required rallys if you want to call that pride. I knew some cheerleaders over my four years there, I think they had enough school pride in them to make up for my lack of it.
4) What were your favorite classes in High School?
English, Accounting, Psychology, Drafting, Biology and Drivers Education.
5) Who were your favorite teachers?
Mr. Peabody, Mr. Felice, Ms. Fogarty, Mr. Hoover, Mr. Gilmore, Mr. Waastad and Mr. Rockhold. Those were teachers who had some significant meaning to me. They were teachers that cared enough about their students and actually taught.
6) Were you always late to class?
Not usually, but every now and then. If I was, it was always right after lunch.
7) Did you ever ditch?
Oh hell yeah, didn't we all, ha ha.
8) Did you ever have to stay for Saturday School?
Yes.
9) What was the worst trouble you ever got into?
I don't think I ever really got in too much trouble, I was a pretty trouble free kid. And when I did do anything bad, I wasn't dumb enough to get caught.
10) Who was your big crush in Highschool?
Oh who can even reme...Expand for more
mber now. I'm sure there were some but I was such a confused individual back then. Besides that was so long ago and pretty unimportant now.
11) Was your prom a night to remember?
Actually, no it wasn't. My abnormally complicated homelife kept me from attending it. I don't have a clue as to what our prom was ever about.
12) What radio station did you jam out to in highschool?
Wow, this will really sound dated, ha ha. KCBQ, 92.5, B-100, KGB and yes, even 91X back in the day.
13) Your worst memory of High School?
I don't know. There were some teachers who were not so great. Some little embarassing moments, but not any one particular worst memory. I imagine they seemed bigger at the time probably, but looking back on it now it was all so insignificant anyway.
14) Would you say you've changed a lot since highschool?
Definitely! After all these years I certainly hope so, ha ha.
15) What do you miss the most about it?
Absolutely nothing.
16) When it comes time for the reunion will you be there?
Nope, haven't attended any yet. For the most part didn't we all just want to get out of school and be done with it. Sometimes I will wonder what happened to this person or that person. But what's the point in reuniting with most of those people we hardly knew or ever cared about. If I didn't care about them then, why would I care about them now.
