Carl's Story
I grew up in the Smith Grove Community, attending Smith Grove Elementary for first grade. The next year Pinebrook Elementary opened, taking over Smith Grove and Farmington Elementary schools. I remained at Pinebrook through the eight grade, 1977. I attended Davie High until December of my Freshman year, when I moved with my family to our new home in East Bend. There I attended and graduated Forbush High, Class of '81.
After school I went to work, finally ending up working as an Automotive Technician, after several years of trying to break into the business. In 1995, i decided to further my eduaction by attending Catawba College at night, while continuing to work full time during the day, what fun! I graduated from Catawba with a BBA with the Class of 2000.

k on cars for a liiving, until the fall of 2004, when Rowan Cabarrus asked me to teach part-time at night. I enjoyed that so much, that when they asked me to come aboard full-time in the spring, I took them up on the offer, where I remain today teaching automotive technology to future technicians. While at RCCC, I was able to complete the coursed needed to achieve an AAS in automotive.
I found to website, and hoped to here from the many classmates that I attended school with. I often wondered what ever happened to many of my classmates over the years, a few I have seen here and there, for many it has too many years since I've seen or heard from many of you.
So, if you have found this and I was a fellow classmate, hello to each and every one of you, I am still alive and doing well.
