Carl's Story
Life
Still having fun with my sweetie Michele (Hephzibah Class of '82) and our 3 kids. Alexandra "Alex" is no longer a "kid" as a rising Junior at Savannah College of Art and Design...wants to go into advertising no matter what the old man says. Megan just completed her Freshman year as a varsity volleyball player at Columbia University in NYC. Our son Carl is a rising high school senior and working hard to get his novel published before graduating (who knew a kid could write 600 pages in between quests on World of Warcraft!). We basically dedicated the past 20 years to these yahoos and even though we sometimes want to "shake some sense into them sometimes" (as my mama used to say about me) they are turning out to be awesome people (ok, so I'm a little impartial).
The family timeline began when Michele and I left Augusta after graduation to attend UGA and got married a week after I finished graduate school in June 1987. A week later...Expand for more
we moved to Atlanta to start a career in marketing/advertising at Coca-Cola (no...new Coke was before my time). For the most part we've lived in Atlanta other than a couple of stints in the Midwest. We lived in Chicago for a couple of years in the late '80s and in the fall of 2000 we moved to Cincinnati to start up a new regional marketing/business operation for Coke. In June of 2003 we returned to Atlanta and now (2009) live in the suburb of Roswell...at least for the next year. We are in the process of launching a startup business that will likely be based in NYC where today I shuttle back and forth as President of the FUZE Beverage Company (an independent Coke subsidiary I've been running over the past few years). Life has been a good teacher...painful at times, but worth the price of admission. Even though I don't get to see many people anymore, I hope everyone is doing well and getting everything they had hoped for from life.
