Carl's Story
Life
I've been living in Louisiana since by discharge from the military. Worked in the oil field; did a little school, and now work in a plant.
I spent my last year in the military in El Paso. I kinda call it a second home. I've been going back yearly since 1981.
I got married in July 2004, the first time for me. One step daughter and a fantastic wive.
Life is good.
Workplace
Work is work. I enjoy it enough and I if it was for the money I wouldn't work at all.
Military
I joined the army out of high school. It was a ...Expand for more
job and I did look forward to the experience. I enlisted for the 82nd Airborne Division. Transferred to Ft. Polk, Germany, then Ft. Bliss. I enjoyed parachuting the best but Germany was a great time. Different culture and even seemed to meet more interesting Americans there.
My last year in Ft. Bliss was great. Not so much the CAV unit since I knew I was going to ETS but the city of El Paso. The people are the most friendliest of any place I've been. I loved the hot food and the dark hair, dark eyed ladies. Married one in July 2004.
