Carla's Story
As of December 13, 2016 Carla Jean Comley has passed away.
She accomplished many of the goals she set for herself:
She graduated with special accomplishments under her belt,
Met people from within NY and various states throughout her life... before and after getting married,
On December 13, 2003 she married a Yankee like herself, who loved her just as she was. (He was in Southern California when they met online in Aug. 1996.)
Carla led a life full of joys and of sorrows... as many tend to do in this life, but also with lots of laughs along the way.
They lived in 6 locations, three within Bath, before she died.
Carla was a persistant woman. When she put her mind to something, or was challenged, she accomplished it. She never knew what the word, "No" meant or considered it as part of her vocabulary.
Carla was an outgoing, flirtatious gal, and her social abilities didn't stop just because her arms and legs did. Her eyes & smile shared mountains of information. Even ...Expand for more
with a non-verbal tongue, she let her thoughts be known. She had such spunk... that if it was contageous, others would certainly contract it.
During her life, there were moments when she would contract Pneumonia and surpass it; it would be cleansed with antibiotics, however, the last time was just too much of a hurtle for her body to jump over. There were major compications that bombarded her system, that even with her last breath, she was fighting it. That's how much zeal she had for life! Carla was a real trooper; she never gave up until the enemy of us all came and conquered at last.
She is buried in a small cemetery on Tubbs Road east of Mexico... on a back road that parallelled Rte 104, about two miles of where her parents live.
Even though she is no longer alive & kicking with her thrusting right leg, she will always be in the hearts of those who knew and loved her so well, prodding them to continue on in their lives.
Goodbye my love! I'll see you at the resurrection!
