Carla's Story
Life
I'm currently in school, and doing very well. I'm hoping to go on to get my doctorate sometime before the next millenium. I'm majoring in Psychology and debating taking Political Science as a second major with a minor of Criminal Justice. With all that, I guess I should find something interesting to do!
School
What can I say about school. I was pretty quiet, so if I was even noticed at all, it was a wonder. I would change some things if I could, but that's not even a remote possibility until I completely work out the bugs in the theory of relativity. I'm working on it. I wasn't the prettiest, or the most popular, or even the funniest, but I knew a lot of people and we got along.
One of my favorite moments was getting to go to New York and see Joel Grey in Cabaret on Broadway. I remember being so captivated by the energy of it all, it took my breath away. I just can't remember which c...Expand for more
lass went. (I think it was drama).
Workplace
I spent a lot of time in the Navy, (nearly 10 years). I saw a lot of things, learned some new tricks and loved my job. Clinton had other ideas about me staying in, so I had to go.
Military
I went to boot camp in the fall of 1988 after qualifying for my college program and taking all the necessary exams. Since the Navy was paying for it I guess they just wanted to make sure. I was in Great Lakes from the fall and winter of 88 until the spring of 89. Did the Full time Nanny thing from spring 89 until Fall 89 in Patuxent River, MD and then Left for Ohio and my college program. Desert Storm came up and back to Patuxent River I went. Ran into Ron Tutor while there, then back to Ohio where I discovered my scholorship was gone since I'd left for Desert Storm. Joined the Navy (again) and left for California, then Hawaii. I guess that's more than enough.
