I've been employed with the Department of Coroner for 20 years and looking forward of leaving the department at 30 years. I started off as a Reserve Investigator in 1987. I was hired in 1988. The last 10 years I was doing body recoveries and transportation. My involvement with the Department was the Rodney King Riots,The Northridge Quake,The Cult Suicides in San Diego and the Korean airline plane crash in Guam. I'm involved in the department of Coroner Special Operation and Response Team (S.O.R.T)which responsed to disasters in the Los Angeles County and assist other Counties. I'm trained and certified in Urban Search and Rescue(U.S.A.R.)and the Weapons of Mass Destruction,(levelA,B). I've been promoted to a Supervisor in 1999 and still active. I have been certified as a Haz Mat Specalist Technician. I just completed a 4 week certification course w/ the L.A. City Fire Dept.
