Carly's Story
Life
I graduated from Purdue in Dec 2005. I moved to Arizona and worked at a Flight Training school as an A&P mechanic for 9 months. I worked on pipers, cessnas, pitts, great lakes, huskies, piper cubs. I have since moved to North Carolina to work for GE at their Durham Engine Facility. I was originally on a team building the CF34-10. I've since moved to a new team building the GE90- the worlds most powerful commercial engine.
School
I chose to sacrifice those memories for more disc space.
Naw, alright I remember my two crushes and the attempt we had at a marching band. I remember being rained out of the Memorial Day Parade and not playing Corado. I still remember my school song, why I have no idea. I guess I may of actually had a fraction of school pride. I remember hanging out in the bandroom at lunch. I remember the swing dance the jazz band held in the cafeteria and I remember my solo piece for my senior year concert. I remember transposing The Mikado score into Eb for the alto saxes. I remember going to Illinois St...Expand for more
ate for the math team competion.
Fav Teachers? hm, Fraser, Ms Sam, Mr Mena, Mr Cassioppi, Mr Sierkerski
And I remember our crazy Government teacher who smashed a phone into the wall when it rand during class.
College
I received my bachelors of science in aeronautical engineering technology. I also received my A&P certificate.
I served four years in the Purdue "All-American" Marching Band and was the tenor saxophone section leader for two years. (El Paso Trilogy!) I also played in the women's basketball pep band as lead tenor for three years. I played in the concert bands for three semesters on alto and was third chair in the top concert band. I am a member of Alpha Eta Rho - Beta Chapter at Purdue. For my last semester at Purdue I find myself scrambling to enjoy what the lafayette community has to offer. I scoffed at Lafayette my first years at Purdue saying there was nothing to do. After you get out of the phase of frat house parties and chasing guys (ya ok that's not me) you really do see this town is really beautiful.
