Carol's Story
I had 2 careers: Safeway Stores as assistant manager and district trainer; secondary teacher D51. My first marriage ended in divorce but produced two beautiful children. My second marriage is in its 36th year and produced two step-children. 3 of our children and families live in Colorado while the other lives in Germany. We are a family of public educators. Although my husband and I have retired, we do substitute teach; Wayne teaches secondary math and I teach secondary literacy. randchildren of which one died in a tragic traffic accident just this past year. We are currently living in a mountain community called Arrowhead located in the mountains between Montrose and Gunnison, Colorado. Our immediate family consists of my husband, a dog and a cat, and, of course, me. We snowmobile in the winter and ATV in the summer. I still love to read, watch a good movie, test my skills on Jeopardy, and visit family and friends. Can't wait until our next reunion. Life is wonderful.
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a great idea. As it turns out, they were right.
