School
My family lived across the street from Grove School. My parents sold their property to the school district in June of 1955 and we moved to Walla Walla and I attended Maxon School. I attended there and we lived out on Russell Creek. I attended Walla Walla HS and graduated in 1963. That fall I enrolled at Northwest Nazarene College in Nampa, Idaho. I met my husband John Carlson and we married in 1967. After my father died in 1965 there was no money to go back to college and I worked for Pringles Power Vac in Walla Walla for a year or so. After we married I moved with hubby to Nampa, Idaho where he got a degree and we had our first son, Gregory. In 1970 we moved to Kansas City, Kansas and John attended Nazarene Theological Seminary. born in Spokane while we were in the Youth Pastorate. We now live in Edmonds WA and have been here since 1987. Our sons are both happily married and we are the proud grandparents to Mackenzie 9 month old. I worked most of 33 years in the Medical field. I became a Medical Financial Consultant but after battling cancer in 1999 I have been disabled. I still keep quite busy and my hubby works for the Snohomish County Juvenile Dept. We will soon be married 42 years. Our life has been good and God has been more than faithful through the years. We are active in our church and are beginning to look forward to retirement.
My brothers Bill and Ken both attended Grove School. I was there during the time Miss Geiss, Mrs Ollis, Mrs Buckingham and Mr Hessee were teachers. I would love to hear from anyone that attended Grove School.
