Carol's Story
1972-1974 I lived in Sacramento and went to school at Cal State Sacramento.
1974-1975 Lived back in Novato and worked at Fireman's Fund.
1975-1982 Lived in San Franciso and worked at various law firms as a legal assistant. (Law Offices of Jerrold Offstein; Orrick, Herrington, & Sutcliffe; Bostwick & Tehin.
1981 Took a whimsical trip to Paris, France by myself just because I had not been and thought I should. I actually was speaking French when I left. It must have been hypnotism, because I cannot speak but a few phrases anymore (but my accent ROCKS!).
1982 to 1990 These years have been deleted from my memory.
1990 I met my husband. He is very good friends with my brother in law (Mary's husband). We coincidentally spent Christmas with Mary and Dennis in Anchorage Alaska. Fate intended we meet.
1991 I married Mark Woods. The smartest and most wonderful thing I've ever done. We live in Northridge, California. Mark works in the movie industry and I'm a HOUSEWIFE!!! What a hoot (but, hey, I'm good at it...my house GLEAMS!).
1992 We welcomed our Parker William. Wow, I had no clue how much I could love someone. I try to remember that when I look at his room or when he's out after his curfew.
1993 to 1994 We moved to Calabasas (northern San Fernando Valley in the Santa Monica Mountains). Love the mommy thing and the neighborhood fun. NOTHING like desparate housewives. These people had mora...Expand for more

1995 We welcomed our Fletcher North Woods. A quiet, gentle OLD, OLD soul who is still teaching me how to be still and listen.
I went back to school while the boys were at pre-school. I obtained my much delayed BA at CSUN in June 2000 and my teaching credential in 2001.
2001 We sold what we couldn't fit into a moving truck and moved to Anchorage, AK (where it all began back in 1990). Mark was going on location anyway leaving me to fend for myself and the boys and I told him he could go on location just as easily from Anchorage and he could from L.A. At least in Anchorage, we'd be away from the over-crowding and nearer my sister who wanted to help. It worked! Mark still gets called several times a year to do a movie here or there.
2007 Mark is working in Hawaii (Oahu's north shore at the Turtle Bay Resort) on a movie called FORGETTING SARAH MARSHALL. We got to visit him there and do the tourist thing all over the island. Climbing Diamond Head, swimming with turtles at Wiameah Bay, and eating garlicy shrimp at a van called Giovannis in Haliewa.
2008 Mark is in Boston working on THE PROPSAL. and I still work in the Anchorage School District as a 6th grade teacher. I LOVE IT! I'm highly qualified to teach both elementary and middle school and I might make the switch to middle school this year. We'll see.
I can't imagine that I've left anything out. But I might amend this later.
