About another 10 years has passed since updating my profile. Here I go! I am still an RN at the San Francisco VA Medical Center., and have been working in the primary care clinic since 2015. However, have been working from home since the pandemic. My three sons (Willie, Abraham, Jonah) and I continue to live in beautiful Mendocino County.........Redwood Valley CA......two hours north of the Golden Gate Bridge. We were so fortunate to have my mother with us for three years before she went to heaven in 2012. She was 95. My grandaughter Adrianna Dicks is now 14 (Abraham's daughter). She was accepted into the AR Johnson Magnet School of Science and Engineering in Augusta GA (6th thru 12th grades). She started 6th grade and is now in 8th grade - all of her classes have been honor and gifted. She loves school and we are sooo proud of her! Mendocino County built the first green hospital in the United States in Willits (Gateways to the Redwoods). It replaced Frank Howard Memorial , originally built by Charles Howard in honor of his son who was injured in a car accident in 1925 and died because of the lack of a full-service hospital. He was also owner of Seabiscuit at his Ridgewood Ranch in Willits. Seabiscuit is buried there. There is a lot of great history here.
