Carol's Story
Life
My Spouse
In my senior year I was hanging out with alot of people from Springfield. There was alot of us that hung out together.... Nancy Burdick was going with Billy Crane, Colleen Barney was going with Larry Hicks, Michelle Sheenan was going with Bob Crane, and I met my husband, Dean through that association. Actually I was dating another guy, but Dean came to a party we had, and asked me out, and I said sure...........and 30 years later, we're still right here. To my knowledge though, I believe we are the only ones from that group still together.
My Pets
I have Charlie, he's a Blue Gold Macaw. He's been with me for 12 years. It's like having another child, if you really want to know the truth. He is ruler of my home! When people come to visit, he welcomes them at the door with a beak that has 750 lbs of pressure per square inch. I advise everyone who is interested in rasing a large bird like this, to do your homework first and see how invovled it really is. It's a lifetime commitment!
My Kids
My oldest son, Brian (29), has 3 children. One daughter, Brandy Lee wh...Expand for more
o he has custody of, but lives with us. She's 8 right now, and needs a secure, stable atmostphere. Being a girl, it would be too hard for her to live with a single father, who lives with his brother. His other 2 are boys, who are Jacob, 5 and Cameron 3. They live with their mother as a result of a divorce.
My other son, Billy (25), is wise, and watched his brother learn life the hard way, so he's smart and has no childen (that we know of......) LOL
They have a home together, in the same neighborhood as us, and so it makes it easy for the kids to all stay close together.
My Job
I'm a cosmetologist. I went to KCC and got my generals out of the way while I was raising my kids. Then after they were old enough, I decided to enroll in the nursing program. Well there was a 2 year waiting list, and Ferrari's Beauty School just opened up. I had always done my family and friend's hair, so I figured maybe I should get my license. I did, and it was the best choice I could have ever made! I absolutely love making people feel good about themselves!!! It's a very positive career.
