Carol's Story
Well, since high school I have done a variety of things, before finally (seemingly) settling down to what I am doing currently.
I'm enjoying being single; I am involved with my friends' kids, often referred to as the 3rd parent families can use. 'My' oldest kids have graduated from college. When I am not in denial, this is when I realize how much time goes by. I had met the youngest of the graduates when he was 6 1/2 months.
I had to resign from teaching (high school biology certified; actually have taught the sciences from grades 5-12) due to an injury. Part of the way I got my strength back was by helping my friend out on her horse breeding farm. I have r...Expand for more
ecently acquired a one-eyed Thoroughbred mare (turns out beautiful foals, and she's only 7). She joins my 'furry (wooly)-faced' kid count: 1 ewe, 1 dog & 2 cats.
Over the years, I have discovered with things which interest me: community theater (both stage shows & dinner theater which can include more improv); I played bass in my church music team, currently I just participate in jam sessions; I love to hike, am working on trails in western MA right now, cooking/nutrition, exercise, biking, and camping.
I still enjoy reading, mostly how-to's now, I like to cook, and watch movies.
