Carol's Story
Life
I now live in Monroeville,PA; happily married to a great guy since October 1998. We do not have any children, but enjoy spoiling our 3 nieces and 1 nephew. We tried to adopt a little boy about 8 years ago and had everything ready, then at the last minute the mother changed her mind and kept the baby. I never been so heartbroken in my life. He would have been born on April 11, 2001. We never tried again, it is was to hard for me emotionally.
My husband and I have traveled alot in the last 15 years. One of my favorite trips was driving from California to Pittsburgh. We flew out to California the day before 9-11 and wasn't able to fly home, so we rented a van and away we went. My favorite areas that we stopped are Colorado & Utah, and Las Vegas (of course). We someday hope to move out to one of those areas. My husband, Kurt, says it will be hard for me because my family lives in the Pittsburgh area and his family is in the midwest. He says that's the reason he says this is because ...Expand for more
of how close my family is. I enjoy spending time with them. My grandfather, "Spike" is the "GREATEST MAN I HAVE EVER KNOWN".
I was working for a bank (for about 12 years) and decided to make a career change. I went back to school and I am now working in medical billing. I love it, it is the 1st job I actually can't wait to go to. (SICK, HUH?) It was in the Wilkins Township area and very laid back. No more dressy clothes, all business casual, really casual. It takes all of 10 minutes to go to work. Love it! Better than driving 45-50 minutes each to the South Hills everyday. I then quit there to work in Murrysville for more money, well that didn't work out. More money doesn't really mean happiness either. It wasn't a good fit between me and the employer. So I am now unemployed looking for a new job, but enjoying the time off. Now able to get somethings done around the house I wanted to do.
We enjoy entertaining with our friends and family. I guess I can say life is going "GREAT".
