Carol's Story

Life I have been married twice, one ending in divorce, the other in death, with a long term relationship in between. I have one son, Jeremy, (born just before I turned 40) from my second marriage. Up until fall of 1986 I lived in Vancouver, BC before I moved to California for a few years to be with my second husband (who died when our son was 18 months old) and then up to Bellingham, WA where I currently reside. After being on our own for nearly 9 years, in June, 2004, Jeremy and I went out to Delaware after I met someone online. We returned to my home in Washington in August of 2007. We are just the 2 of us again. I have worked mostly secretarial jobs since leaving school. My last job in WA was in the medical field (chiropractic) and then worked for an OB/GYN in Delaware. I am currently employed by a company that, when they have work, sends me to medical facilities to do chart audits. I have finished most of a Certified Medical Assistant course at Charter College (all the in-class subjects completed) and now will be going out on my externship beginning March 20. Graduation from this course in April 21, 2012, have been on the Dean's list 4 times and have kept my grades at "A" and "B" levels throughout. Graduated June 8, 2012 with honors - Dean's list x5 and a 3.78 GPA which is not what I expected but pleased with. ife with. All this has been very exciting for me. Still looking for work in my new field. I try to enjoy life to its fullest, and love adventure. I would like to begin getting in touch with old classmates who graduated in 1972. Any classmates that want to e-mail me, please do, I'm curious to know if there will be anymore reunions that will be coming up. Peace to all!!! Looking forward to the 40 year renuion this year. I remember the smell of the lilac tree in the front yard and taking clippings with me to school. I also remember climbing the plum tree we had out front and picking the plums for us all to enjoy. My oldest friend was Sharon Lund - we just seemed to gravitate to each other and hung out quite a bit at school, walking the halls. We have lost touch with each other over the years which is one thing I regret. I share my home with my son, Jeremy, which I find great.. My current age is 56. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be really old. I was so completely wrong. If I won $100 million, I'd give a portion of it to charity, then spend the rest on paying off my home, bills and vacations.. If I could improve my home, I'd remodel the kitchen and add on a vegetable garden. My dream home would be comfortable.. I always wanted to be a legal secretary when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were wrong - I did not get to do that..
