Carol's Story
Life
After going to business college in Columbus & living at the YWCA, I took a train trip & $300 cash to look for "the perfect job" in Kansas City. I worked for a great company, Hallmark Cards. I met and married Allan & we moved to Phoenix, later to Colorado Springs, Colorado. We have one son; two daughters; four granddaughters. I work in business banking as a commercial client representative. Allan has always been in electronics and his hobby is rebuilding theatre organs. In fact we have 3 theatre organs at this time. I love the all American road trip and photography. Retirement is beginning to sound good but too much time with too little money is my fear. My son and middle child live in Colorado Springs within 15 minutes of our home. My son estimates costs and manages projects and remode...Expand for more
ls homes. My daughter is a registered nurse. The youngest daughter lives in Denver and is an architech. The oldest and the youngest are very much alike & work in similar fields, but the middle child is totally different. They all appreciate each other and are friends too. Allan & I are very blessed. Two totally different personalities but "opposites attract"!
My first job was at the neighbors, where I got paid 50 cents an hour to babysit for a Greek dry cleaner owner and kids could speek Greek so I couldn't tell what they were going to do. Once they played cowboys and indians and tied me up. Since that, I learned how to manage kids better.
Regret that I was so timid as a young person that I didn't get to know you all!
