Carol's Story
Life
After highschool, I went to college for 4 years. After graduating from college, I married Dan'l DeCant. We both started working for Sutter Memorial Hospital as nurses. We adopted a baby girl a couple of years later. In 2001 we went through a very ugly divorce and now share custody of our daughter. I have recently reconnected with someone that I fell in love with years ago. We are now living together and talking about marriage.
College
After graduating from Bella Vista High, I went to Dominican College/St Lukes School of Nursing. I graduated in 1988 with a Bachelor's of Science...Expand for more
in Nursing and a Psychology Minor. I am a current member of the national Psycology honor society (Psy Chi).
Workplace
I have spent the last 21 years working as a Registered Nurse. I started my career on the Post Partum unit working with the new moms and babies. I then transfered to the Special Care Nursery and took care of the tiny and sick babies for many years. I workied as an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant for five years. I am currently working toward becoming a Certified Medical Translator in Spanish. I have returned to the NICU where my heart has always been.
