Carol's Story
I started a summer job with Manitoba Hydro in 1976 (yes mom got me a job at Dorsey Stn) and have been there ever since.
I live in Gillam, my parents live in Gimli, my kids live in Winnipeg. Two kids Scott and Heather - graduated from Gimli School.
LOTS of bucks up here and can retire in couple years. (Have to be 55) then I can do what I've always wanted to do. Maybe be a nurse. I thought of social work but am doing that anyway as I also bartend - you bet - same thing, councelling the drunks :...Expand for more

Jeff (my man) and I also love cooking and he has his own business catering. We both also work at the local Legion. Keeps us busy and no time to miss the kids and our parents.
I also have a booming Avon business that makes sure I have travel money.
Have lived in Winnipeg, Headingley, Stony Mountain, East St Paul, Gimli and now Gillam and am sure when i retire we'll head somewhere else.
