Carol's Story
Life
My Life:
I live in Tulsa, OK (Yikes!). I moved here in 2002, after 8 years in San Jose CA (Silly-con Valley). Everything you hear about how expensive it is out there is true. I re-met my husband, Jack King, shortly after moving here. Our paths had crossed briefly back in 1971 in Chicago. We got married in September of 2004 in a friend's beautiful backyard in San Jose. We both have a passion for motorcyles and I currently have 2 of my own and Jack has 2. (I work to support my chrome habit.) We take at least one long motorcycle road trip each year and several long weekend trips. There is nothing like "wind therapy" to keep one (relatively) sane...
My Pets:
I have 7 cats (Phoebe, Vinny, Olivia, Bhrodi, Buddy Yasmine and Bobby. All rescues). We had a rescue Doberman, Sinbad who we lost 1 week before Christmas 2014, but couldn't stand being Doberman-less so 2 weeks later we got a beautiful red girl, Willow. There's also our resident hard-head, Cooper, a rescue American Staffordshire Terrier cross...Expand for more

My Kids:
Shawn [Sehy] lives in Tokyo where he is a senior vice president of something I don't understand at Citicorp. He's been in Japan since 1994 and married a beautiful Japanese woman in March of 2007. They have 3 kids, Nobuhiko Shawn, Chie Angelina and Mika Angelina. Of course, they are the cutest kids ever.
My favorite way to de-compress is a long, solo motorcycle ride out in the country. Since Tulsa isn't that big, I can be out of town in 20 minutes. In 3 hours, I can be riding the Ozarks in NW Arkansas.
I rode my motorcycle solo home to Chicago over Labor Day, 2008. Weather was great, except for the last day heading back to Tulsa. 190 miles through Hurricane Gustuv. Can you say "drowned rat?" That's what I looked like when I finally rolled into my garage. And the last 2 blocks, it hailed... really.
Also, I love to read, and I LOVE my iPad. Walking the pups, riding my bicycle, riding my motorcycles, working in the yard, some political activism, and fine coffees keep me busy.
