Carol's Story
My family moved to New York State shortly after St. Anthony's 8th grade graduation. My father had died in a plane crash in April '62 & mom was a young widow with 3 kids to raise. If you remember me from Elementary School, I was the one who threw the Roaring 20's Party complete with fringed shifts! I remember how excited my cousins were to show me their "beach" on the shores of Lake Erie. I laughed at them...BROWN sand & smelly seaweed. I missed Lanikai Beach & Jimmy who was to teach me surfing that summer.AHHHHHH!!
Now, my husband of 40 years, & I are looking forward to retirement & visiting those balmy shore...Expand for more
s. We have 4 industrious, children & 4 grandchildren, so far. I returned to college at age 48 & received a M.S. in Special Education & continue to help people learn English through Literacy Volunteers. I spend winters knitting & planning my flower/vegetable garden when Spring finally arrives. Summers finds me searching the eastern shores (that's where family lives) for the perfect retirement beach house.
Good! I wrote some names in the photo album...Dian, Roger, Betty, Bruce, Lynn, Judy, Gaye, Ann, Yuklin, Debs, Miki, John, Dave, Paul, Harold, Anita & everyone else who remembers Sister Robert Joseph, write me!
