Carole's Story
My name is Carole A. (Bess) Boster. I attended Simms Elementary, Oley Jr. High, and Huntington High. I have remained in Huntington and graduated from Marshall with a BA in education.
I worked as a Realtor, Director of the Huntington Human Relations Commission, and spent 22 years as a compliance officer with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, a federal agency. I retired on September 30, 2010.
I have four grown children, 10 grandchildren, and six great grandchildren (and 3 dogs). I was married to Dick Boster for 25 years. He is now deceased.

Nancy died several years ago. I am still in touch with Betty, but have lost connection with others.
Pansy P.Wellington was my home room teacher for grades 7-9.
Would enjoy hearing from others who attended Oley during the time I was there.
.I have fond memories of how we performed in music class for extra credit. I remember Gene Cunninghamm playing the piano for us. We sang, had lots of fun. Also remember the dances at school and also at the YMCA. We did the stroll, the twist, and had so much fun. Sock Hops were the greatest. I played on the volleyball team and remember the games we had with other schools. Loved it all.
