Carole's Story
Life
I went to Foothill for about a year, then left to make a living. I worked at Hewlett Packard from 1972 to 2002, with a small hiatus when my daughter was born. Although I retired from HP, I rehired in 2006. I was an Info Tech Manager the first go-round, which I enjoyed (mostly) and a project manager this second "era". I married in 1977, and my husband, Mike and I enjoy our children - 1 daughter, 1 son - (again, mostly...those with kids understand this caveat).
Guess what - we're no longer the Knights at LAHS. Bummer, huh? They're Eagles now. Hmmm.
Anyway, craziest things I did while in LAHS were following the German Exchange Student down to Los...Expand for more
Alto town with Debbee Knorre (early stalking?) and walking back from the Los Altos Cinema (do you remember THAT???) with another friend, Kaye Albright and smoking (pretty much first and last time for that vice). Sounds lame, but at the time, was pretty fun. Guess all it takes is friends, huh? Things I remember - dances (remember the pony (gag), going to see a REALLY old version of Romeo and Juliet in downtown Los Altos as part of a class (movie-bad, experience - memorable for some reason).
I liked the LAHS experience. I had good friends, and the classes were sometimes interesting. We had a pretty nice class of people (you could take that two ways, LOL).
