Carole's Story
After graduation from South High School in 1963, I attended Asbury College for two years, majoring in Theatre. I transferred to the Ohio State University, majoring in Radio and Television. I also attended Lawrence University, in Appleton, Wisconsin, majoring in Theatre.
In 1967 I married Bob McConnell. We had five children:Elizabeth, Robert Jr. (who died in an automobile accident in 1973), Sarah, Cara and Timothy. After Bob received his Ph.D. from Purdue, we lived in eight different states, including Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana and finally settling in Raleigh, North Carolina, in 1988. 1995. At that time, I stopped being a full-time mommy and started an ingloriouis career in office work, which ended in 2008.
I have thirteen grandchildren, twenty years old and younger - four girls and nine boys!
I'm currently living in Greensboro, North Carolina. I became a full-time student again in August 2013, majoring in Theatre at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Graduated Magna Cum Laude May 8, 2015.
