More about Caroline:"How do I begin... I guess that's pretty generic. How many pages start like that? I love life, and I love my family. I love my friends. And I try to treat everyone I meet with Non Judging eyes, and an open mind. We are all children of God, and we should all live this beautiful life to the fullest. I myself just started a new and amazing chapter of my life. I was married in September of 2005. My husband and I just had our first child... a boy, Thomas. Being a new mommy is truly a gift from God. I look at my little boy and I know I've been blessed. Spending time at home, just holding him. Watching his daddy make him laugh by blowing into his little armpits is something I could do every day, all day. Every time I see him smile, it's like seeing him for the first time all over again. My son has taught me something, I've known all along, but he has really made the lesson so clear. Life is precious. Even if we are lucky enough to live till were a 100 it just not long enough. Be careful, if you blink you might miss something. My son was born on April 14th, 2008. I actually went into labor on my due date. y a few seconds before they took him to clean him up. We reunited shortly after and it was amazing. To hold this precious, most amazing gift, this life I helped to create changed me forever. While I held my little one, the Doctor came to me with the news. My beautiful little Thomas was born with Trisomy 21 (Down Syndrome). As the doctor told me this news and pointed out all the tiny little things that showed he most likely had the condition I just looked at my little boy and knew that none of it mattered. I was this little boys Mommy, and he was my son. And nothing was going to change that. I smiled at the doctor, and said, he looks perfect to me. and that's all there was to it. Two days later they took him from me and brought him to the NICU. Intensive care for babies. My son had an infection, They sent him home with me for the first time 2 weeks after he was born. I learned in that short period of time, that no matter how carefully you plan for things, life has its own plan, and we have to just have faith God knows what he's doing. And he did. Sure I have a child with a disability, but is he truly disabled? I think not. I think he's just perfect. He's just the way he was meant to be. Anyone that meets my little boy or has a chance to look into his beautiful blue eyes, anyone that is lucky enough to catch one of his precious smiles, they know what it's like to be touched by one of God's angels. I know that every day that I get to spend on this earth with this beautiful boy is a wonder, and a gift. I'm going to do everything I can to be the bestest mommy I can be. I live for him now, from now until forever.".
