Caroline's Story

I live in Buffalo, MO with my furbuddy, Jake. I've had a variety of jobs including: machinist, truck driver, taught customer service, built computers, clerk in 3 hardware stores, assistant manager/bookkeeper of a theatre, owned/operated a donut shop in a resort town, built furniture, customer service rep, sold furniture, manager of clothing department at 2 stores, and I'm sure I forgot something. Mother of 3 sons including twins. I enjoy life and taking advantage of opportunities that come my way... if they don't... well, I just have to make my own opportunities. I'm an optomist and the glass is at least half full. I've been doing organic gardening since before it became popular, and I LOVE gardening. I was born in Spirit Lake, IA, and lived in a few cities in early life that I really don't remember (like Rapid City, SD and Gary,IN). I sta...Expand for more
rted school in Joliet, IL, but in my Junior year of high school, moved to Cedar Rapids, IA, where I graduated in 1969. I lived in Lakehurst, NJ and Norfolk, VA when my 1st husband (and father of my sons) was in the Navy. I've also lived in Wausau, WI; Sioux Falls, SD; Sioux City, IA; Lincoln, NE; Armstrong, IA; Calumet, IA; ElDorado Springs, MO; Bolivar, MO, Paulina, IA. I've been to almost every state (but not HI or AK) and have been to Winnipeg (it really is weird driving on the left side of the road). I loved driving next to the Colombia River Gorge. The Washington side looks so barren except for the orchards that really stand out, with the Oregon side being so lush and green. Multnomah Falls is a beautiful hike. I have a LOT more living to do. More to do, more to see. I would really like to reconnect with my dear friend Karen Thompson.
