Carolyn's Story
Hello! :-) It's hard to believe it's been over 34 years since my graduation from high school. Funny, as I certainly don't feel 34 years older and hope to God I don't look 34 years older. :-)
We've been living in Reno, Nevada for 15 years now and really like it here. I've been married to my husband, Rick, for almost 27 years now. We have a wonderful son, Zach, who is 25 and is attending the University of Nevada here in Reno and is working at a successful flooring company. He's majoring in Psychology and doing wonderfully in college. I am currently a housewife (hard to admit), but it does make it easier on my husband as he's always working and I can take care of all the day to day things here. pany over 24 years ago. We decided to settle here in Reno at least until our son is totally finished with school, but I honestly hope we're here to stay.
Aside from "just" being a housewife and taking great pride in our home and yards, I've been doing some redecorating and trying to get things more organized in case I do go back to work again. Sounds fun, huh? :-) I've also been trying to find time to get even better at fondant and gumpaste flowers for cake decorating as I really enjoy that aspect of cake decorating.
After my husband was almost killed at work a few years ago, we've really been enjoying life as it comes and not waiting for "someday" to do the things we enjoy. We've been going to lots of concerts, ball games, on trips, etc. We found out the hard way that life can be cut short in just a few minutes time.
