Carolyn Ann's Story
Life
As you probably remember, my dad was the janitor at MHS from my 6th grade through high school days.
After graduation from MHS, I went to work for Bankers Life in Des Moines. Was married in 1958; worked for 4 years and 4 months at BLC and then spent the next 16 years raising our 3 children. Went back to Bankers Life in 1974, as a part-time working mother. Worked that way for 2 years and then went back to full-time employment at the same place. l Financial Group (formerly Bankers Life) after 29 1/2 working years. In June of 2000, we sold our home in Des Moines and moved to our present home in Parrish, Florida. We have one son, Dennis, and one daughter, Kim, living here in Florida and one daughter, Pam, living in Panora, Iowa. We spend 8 months of the year in Florida, and spend 4 summer months in Panora, Iowa. I have 4 grandchildren and 1 great-grandaughter. Two of our grandchildren live in Iowa, so summers are "lots of fun."
