Carolyn's Story
Life
After high school I earned my BA in Sociology from the University of California, Los Angeles and forged a career for myself in marketing and advertising. I worked for an entertainment public relations firm in Beverly Hills and then for a small ad agency in Gardena before going to Grey Advertising, one of the largest agencies in the world. I then moved to Las Vegas with my then fiancee Brian (we've been married for nearly 7 years now) and worked for R&R Advertising, Sierra Insurance Group, and a small dot com that was bought by the largest online travel booking engine, Sabre. my daughter who is almost 2 years old (and I thought high school went fast!). I still continue to do marketing consulting with some major hotels and entertainment companies here in Vegas and have my own business selling custom handpainted gifts. I am also really involved in the Las Vegas community and serve on the board of the Junior League of Las Vegas, the board of Family to Family Connection Northwest and am a member of the Las Vegas ChildrenÂs History Foundation. Once you get used to the heat here in Las Vegas it is really a great place to live - but I do really miss the beach. But we're close enough to come home every once and a while to see family and friends.
