Carolyn's Story
Life
Graduated from OCC in December of 1969 with a degree in elementary education. Received a master's degree in Guidance and Counseling from Southeastern OK State in 1976. Married Jim Welch (from Healdton, OK) Oct. 30, 1975. Our daughter Leslie was born Jan. 14, 1977. Amy was born April 20, 1982. We have 4 wonderful grandchildren and one more on the way in March 2009. We have lived in Oklahoma, Texas, Wyoming, Alaska, and Bogota,...Expand for more
Colombia, and Santa Cruz, Bolivia. We lived in Russia until February of 2008 - 2 years in Moscow and 2 years in Izhevsk (where the AK-47 is manufactured). Finally we have retired to Ardmore, OK, where we can be found when we aren't somewhere in the states in our 5th wheel trailer. I am happy to celebrate each birthday since I had a bone marrow transplant for leukemia in 1991 (thanks to my sweet brother donating his marrow to me).
