Carolyn's Story
Life
I retired from the Federal Government in 1993 and it is one of the best things I have ever done. My husband, Frank, died in 1992 and my mom also died in 1992. I was expecting Frank to die, but my Mom dying was a total schock. I wished she could have lived longer and we would have been able to do some fun things. I never had children but I consider myself a grandmama to my oldest sister Faye's two sons both have one child each. I enjoy my nephew Wayne's daughter and his two step daughters. His daughter Megan has a little girl born in December 2004. One of his step daughter's just had a son in June 10. The baby was born premature and only weight 1-1/2 pounds. He has a cyst on his lungs that will have to be removed once is lungs are strong enough to undergo the surgery. So prayers are needed. and son. I have a house in Stokes and I go down often so that I can spend as much time with them. They are so precious and you have to captalize on each phase because the grow so fast. Donnie lives in Florida and he has a daughter. Peggy lives right across from me in Colonial Beach. I have a beautiful home on the water and enjoy the view from every room. Maybe some day we can have a reunion here. I have lots of room. Would really be a fun weekend. I have two dogs, as a matter of fact, I had 14 born under my house in Stokes and I kept two (St.Okes (because he was born in Stokes) and Shamrock Sharon (name for my best friend who died of cancer. Sharon had red hair and so does Shamrock Sharon. This is just about all I can think of now. I am still as "witty" as I ever was, and enjoy life when my arthritis is not too bad. As I think of more I will add to my bio.
