Carrie's Story
Life
After Amity I went to Guilford College and studied European History and the History of Science. In 1980 after returning from college to my parents' home which was then in Utica,NY I met my husband Gabe Valentin at a community theater where we were volunteering. We were married in Aug. 1981. We had our daughter Caitlin Elizabeth in 1983. Gabe is an electrical engineer and we have followed his career across the country. We left Utica in 1988 for Huntsville, Alabama and loved living there for 6 years. We have lived in the Pacific Northwest about 35 miles south of Seattle, since 1995...boy does time fly! Gabe has been with several high tech companies including Intel and Microsoft and is now a "head hunter" for contract Program Managers and technicians. I have been a stay-at-home Mom raising Caitlin and the myriad pets we have had over the years...Expand for more
; gardening, sewing, volunteering for PTA boards and school committees, being the swim team Mom and Drama club Mom in high school. Caitlin is now 27 (2010) and grown and gone! She is a molecular biologist/geneticist with a company in Spokane, WA. She was married this past March to Chad Johnson in a week long week long celebration with friends and family in Costa Rica. Chad works for BNSF railroad in Spokane in logistics and planning. I am now step-Nana to Piper age 6! I love it...she is a doll and we love going over to Spokane when they have her for the week. Gabe and I will have been married 29 years on August 15th..... I would love to hear from any former classmates or neighbors from CT days. Please write me and and say hello!
