Carrie's Story
After graduation, spent a summer in Detroit Lakes finding trouble to get into with Christi McGough (Hughes). Went 5 years to Moorhead State. Earned my bachelors in social work. Married college sweetheart, moved to Denver, CO. Worked in nursing homes, for mental health and adult protective services (APS). Got divorced, remarried and moved to Austin, TX. Worked for APS and inspected group homes for the mentally retarded. Moved to Houston, worked for APS, became a legal guardian and went into middle management. Jumped out ...Expand for more
of an airplane on my 36th birthday. Got divorced, moved to Phoenix, AZ and worked for the courts as a probate court investigator. Won the Mrs. Fields 30th Anniversary cookie contest with my recipe for Oatmeal Peanut Butter Scotchys, appeared on the Today Show (met Al Roker and the gang) and won a new kitchen. Mrs. Fields now uses my recipe as their new flavor cookie. Currently living in Austin, TX working in quality assurance for the State of Texas. I go home to MN each year to see my family and friends who still live there.
