Cathy's Story
Life
Just a few things.....I'm single, but still keeping an eye out for "Mr. Right." I love children and looking forward to having them someday. My favorite saying: "Laugh often, Live well, and Love much." And here's another: "Dance like nobody's watching, Love like you never have been hurt before, and ummmmm, er - Spend money like you actually had it?? Not sure if that's correct, but ya know what I mean? :-)
School
I graduated from Lewis-Palmer in 1994. After high school, I took a year off to work at the local grocery store in order to earn enough money to go to college. I eventually inched my way to the community college where I took general courses, so I could affordably transfer to the university. By 1999, I stepped into the art program at UCCS and loved every minute of it!! In 2001, I successfully completed a B.A. in Fine Art. Currently, I am working towards a masters in education. ever, with all of life's obstacles, I hope to be an art teacher (and photographer), someday.
College
In 2001, I earned a B.A. in Fine Art at UCCS. Since then, I have been trying to connect my art intake to the educational field. I entered the teacher education program at UCCS last year, and have been progressing through it. However, life has dealt me a few obstacles, so needless to say I am taking yet another break from reality. So, I do hope to finish my masters degree sometime this decade. :-)
Workplace
I have worked for Safeway, Inc. for the past ten years, and although it is not my dream job or life goal, it has helped me experience different kinds of career positions. Whether in management or accounting, working for this retail/grocery company has helped me financially because I was able to get myself through college. Currently, I am working my way towards a masters in education.
