Catherine's Story
Life during Pope John: Was "Bondzoo the Dancing Ballerina," as stated in the Yearbook. Particpated in all the musicals..South Pacific, Oklahoma (played the lead..my claim to fame) and The King and I. Choreography was my love. Who remembers those classes with Fr, Pat (Biology), Sr. Tarcillia "Torch" (Chemistry) and of course our lovely principal Sr. Theresa. Postorino, the football coach..scary..he failed me in alegbra when I was a Freshman. I think it was because I wasn't a big football fan! Although I did resurrect the mascot "Lion" in 1971. Was so bloody hot in that outfit. Anyway, me and Maddy McCarten (RIP) took the class over with a different teacher and both passed with flying colors...thanks Sr.????. Can't remember her name but we use to call her "Stick" because she were so thin. Heard years ago that Fr. Daniel left the priesthood and married. He was great! I know Margaret Devine and I agreed on that fact. So many wonderf...Expand for more
ul memories... VP of my senior class, George Towle my first boyfriend, Michael Lebron, a free spirit, Patty Flynn my best friend and Patty Ray, who I am still in touch with via a multitude of "Forward to a Friend" e-mails on a daily basis. So, to all of you that were the graduates of the class of '72 be it known that you have all made a special imprint on my heart. I hope you are all well and I would love to hear from you.
Life after Pope John...
Graduated from Centenary College then went to England for 5 years.Came back to U.S., married and attended Felician College for my degree in Nursing Science. Couldn't stay away from those nuns! Tarci and Theresa were there. They are still there in Lodi, NJ. Presently, I am the Director of Nursing for the Health Dept. in the City of Paterson. Have been there for 17 years now and absolutely love my job. It is a challenge but every day is a new adventure. And what is life without adventure?
