Life
Graduated UWO and moved out West.Married to Jim Brady ('73) brother of Chris Brady(74)while living in Winnipeg then moved to Calgary .We returned to Ontario in '83 and now live in Burlington. We are self -employed. Our son Ben is now 21 ('87) and is in his fianl year at U of Waterloo Mechanical Engineering. Instant empty nest as he is an only child but I survived!(I love MSN) and thanks to the co-op program seems to be here more often than not! Both he and Jim have discovered flying and each have their Private Pilot's licenses. I am very involved with the Burlington Art Centre and the City of Burlington as a volunteer and am an accompolished watercolourist and pastel artist. Mr. Damm would howl. Who knew! I am also a Rotarian having joined the Rotary Club of Burlington Central.I threw my hat into the ring for City Councillor Ward 6 in 2006- had a respectable showing against an 11 year incumbent. My parents still live in the same house in Oakville and my sister Caroline(1980) lives in Oakville as well with her husband Barry and their 6 year old daughter Hilary who is an ablsolute delight.
We moved a year ago into a lovely older bungalow in the ALdershot area and are just about finished renovating the main foor and yard. It is a beautiful area and I can walk to the lake.
I recently came out of "retirement" to join ADFLOW Networks as the Direcetor of Client Servies. We are one of North America's leaders in Digital Signage and recently made number 46 on the Profit Magazine top 100 companies. A very proud moment. Jim has been on contract to a firm doing all the A&P conversions to Metro and has been very busy at that and the only thing I have to do is create an invoice every Friday and submit it. Hence the return to the real work world. I love it! 4 minutes from home and a small company owned by a friend. Heaven.
