Catherine's Story
Life
Hi classmates from Bellingham High School and Boston College.
I live in West Seattle, Washington with my husband, my five and a half year old son, and my 22 month old daughter.
I have been in Seattle since 1993 where I have done psych research, finished a program at the University of Washington, and worked at an inpatient facility for children struggling with behavioral issues (my most favorite job of all).
These days I spend most of my time with my kids and last spring finished off three awesome years working at my son's cooperative preschool. When my daughter is a little older I will continue on the professional track in psychology I was on before the children arrived.
I never thought I would live in Seattle as long as I have, but my husband is...Expand for more
an engineer for a company here/independent software creator and this is a place where he loves to live (I think he is a Seattle hippie at heart despite growing up on the East coast), work and create his projects.
I still consider New England my home (as all of my family live in Massachusetts and New Hampshire which makes it hard for us in Seattle at times), but Washington has really grown on me over the years and I love it too. The lifestyle here in Seattle is very appealing. It is a wonderful city to raise kids in and very easy to get around town. The Northwest is a beautiful part of our country. The mountains are stunning and really have become a huge draw in keeping me here.
