Catherine's Story
I recently had to admit my mother to a nursing home. She has lived with me for the last 15 years...a difficult transition for both her and I. She will be 87 on January 26 and despite amputation of her left leg below the knee and dementia, my mother still walks and maintains a daily routine designed to enchance the cognative abilities she still has....I retired early from my government car...Expand for more
eer to become my mother's caregiver. It has been both a blessing and a challenge for me over the years. What a life it has been! I do not regret anything in my life....it has all been a learning experience. I believe I have always lived a life in the vanguard of our generation, and I continue to live such a life!
