Catherine's Story
I came to the United States from Scotland in 1960. I have lived in many areas of the country. When I arrived here the first place that I lived was in Malden, Mass. I didnt live there very long. My step-dad later joined the Air Force and we moved around. I went through my junior and seniour year of school moving around going from one school to another not only because my stepdad was in the service but other reasons. It was hard because of not staying in one place long enough you didnt get to know anyone very well. I really enjoyed and liked Malden, Mass very much. It was hard to move from there because I did make friends, it was hard from then on to make new friends becuse of the constant moving. My life was hard growing up but when Jesus Christ came into my life and i accepted Him as my Saviour my life became completely different. I was 33 when I became a Christian and I lived in Florida. That is another place I really enjoyed living. There is nobody or anything on this earth that can give you the peace and happiness that Jesus Christ gives you when you accept him into youre heart and life and become saved or born again.I have a favourite scripture from God,s word.Ecclesiastes 12:13 Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep His commandments: For this is the whole duty of man. Fearing God means to be in reverance of Him. We are to respenct Him and honor Him.Also chapter 12 verse 8 of Ecclesiastes Vaniy of vanities, saith the preacher; all is vanity. This means everythin means really nothing. The most important thing in this life to do is worship and honour God. I love the Lord and also for what he has done for me and how he changed my life and what he has shown me. God is real.
My favourite way to relax is going somewhere it's peacefull and quiet. Listening to the birds sing and the sound of rushing water. Listening to the rain. Taking a walk. This is nature which God made and anything God made is good. When I read my Bible and pray this is relaxing. d and throwing it on the floor. I got a detention for this. That was an awfull thing that I did. I thought it was funny at the time. Thank God we are forgiven for the foolish things that we do or have done.
Yes I have a hero and his name is Jesus Christ. My inspiration comes from Him.Some people look to movie stars and sports players as their heroes. They arnt there for you when you go through the rough places in life and many other things that we go through. They cant save you and take you to heaven but Jesus can.I have lived in many states. I originally came from Scotland.There are several people that I would like to see from my past. I havnt seen them in many years. They are from Malden, Massachussettes. Linda Wilson, Mary or Tootsie Poldolian and Martha Wilson. When I first came to the United States we were friends and I would love to see them and speak with them. Also Sue Curry from Niagara Falls, New York and Marie Seiwell.If I won $100million I'd give some of it to help those who are suffering, then give some to my family, go on some vacations, open a ministry doing whatever the Lord led me to do.To be truly happy I would be doing whatever God wanted me to do and be happy in serving him and worshipping Him.
My current age is 58. When I was 12, I thought that people my age now would be really old. I was so completely wrong.Twenty years ago I wore dresses or skirts all the time. Now I also wear jeans. Only one life to live twill soon be passed Only what's done for Christ will last. What would surprise everyone at my high school reunion would be that i became a Christian.

My first job was at A&W Root Beer, where I got paid $.60 to $1.00. What I remember most about it is the ice cream root beer hot dogs and everything were free.
My childhood memories that I wont forget are living in Scotland with my family and when I came to this country and lived in Malden Massachusetts I had many childhood friends that lived on the same street as I did. We all had fun together. That was a fun time of my childhood.
