Cathy's Story

Long time, no see :) ...Hi everyone! What have I been doing? Well...I took time away from everyday life about five years ago to go back and finish my BA (in Communications from Marylhurst University 2011) and will start my MA in Interdisciplinary studies of Organizational Communication Fall of 2011. That barely leaves me time to hold down my full time job as operations and personnel manager for Knott St Dermatology in NE Portland (need some work on those wrinkles? I have just the place! :) I am a professional mediator in my work but also volunteer my time for Multnomah County Small Claims Court (don't want to see any of you there!) I also just started my own internet radio show called "The Cathy Bennett Show" on Blog Talk Radio --it is my passion right now and my purpose is to help "dissolve communication barriers." I'd say so...Personal life now? I was married twice (Mark Doescher class of '70 for 15 years and Ron Bennett class of '70 for 13 years--I don't think the class of '70 is good for me :) ...taking a long break from all of that for now...I have a beautiful daughter who is 37 now, a grand-daughter who will be 15 and start driving ! and a grandson who is 12--all up in Port Orchard, Washington. For fun, I try to get out to live music (still love to dance--although not as frisky as I used to be), museums, live theater, long walks in nature, kite-flying at the beach, cross country skiing, long drives around Oregon or Washington, oil painting, writing, getting together for great, deep, philosophical conversations with friends/school mates, and catching up with old friends...you can find me on blogtalkradio, facebook, and linked in...I hope to hear from you and all you have been doing!!!
