Cathy's Story
After graduation from St. Cat's I worked nearly 5 years at St. Mary's Hospital in Racine Xray department while attending UW Parkside. I dropped out of college in 1974 and and married my husband Jim in 1975. I started working for Lincoln Lutheran nursing homes i 1976 as Medical Records Coordinator in charge of all facilities' patient records and stayed for nearly 10 years. I moved to Prairie du Chien in 1985 to be with the rest of my family. I attended Southwest Tech and double majored with honors in both data processing and accounting. ...Expand for more
In 1989, I moved to Madison and eventually settled in Verona, just southwest of Madison. I worked for 28 years for WPS Health Insurance in various data processing roles and retired in March of 2017 as a data analyst and database designer. I now spend more time with my sister, who's been ill. and other family members across Wisconsin and Iowa. And I'm happy to say, I am still with my loving husband in our Verona homestead. My spare time is spent doing crafts, such as crocheting, paper crafting (making greeting cards) and creating jewelry.
