Cathy's Story
Life
Well, let's see 33 years...what the heck have I been doing? Haha!! I have 3 of the most wonderful kids God ever blessed anyone with...Jennifer is 32 (she's married with 3 boys and living in Huntsville, AL: Brady, 11; Drew, 6 and Cole, 13 months...so yep, I'm a Grammy and I LOVE IT!!! Then there's Kristopher - he's 25...hard worker...commercial painting...in the process of getting his own company off the ground. And last but certainly not least...Brittany, 14. She's my baby and my buddy!!! She keeps me hopping with everything!!! She's in chorus and drama (she's a natural -- definitely a drama queen!) and she's in cheerleading! So, I rarely get a moment to stop...guess she's the reason I'm staying young...at least that's what people tell me...my poor aching back would tell you otherwise! LOL
That's the ol' family...well, except for the dog: Buddy a chow mix he's 11 yrs old and been with us since he was 4 wks old. He's definitely a member of the family!
Anyway, been divorced 13 years and been in Orlando, FL that same length of time. I work as a paralegal for a family law attorney and I really enjoy the people I work with in the office. As I'm getting older and wiser (I like to think so anyway)...I'm not enjoying so much a...Expand for more
ssisting people in getting divorced. So, mainly I stay because the people I work with are the best and the pay ain't bad...I am planning to move to Huntsville, AL in summer '09 (God willing)...to be closer to my 3 grandsons! My oldest daughter, husband and kids moved from Orlando to Huntsville just over 2 years ago and my life definitely has NOT been the same since they left!
Have dated a little in the past 12 years...but have mostly just stayed very busy with my kids and grandkids...not that I wouldn't like to find a "Mr. Wonderful" to grow old with but God just hasn't brought him to me yet! But if it's in God's plan I'm sure he'll wander into my life someday...hopefully, God sees fit to have him appear while I can still remember I'm waiting for him to arrive! LOL
I went back to Texas for a short visit back in 2003 and wow the area has changed but not really completely!! It still felt like home! It was really good to see it again! I would like to make a trip back when I have more time and be able to look up some old friends and do some visiting as well this time!
Well, that's about it...doesn't seem like very much after so many years...but believe me the time has been very full and happy! Hope everyone else's has too!!!
