Cathy's Story
I started Sunnyside in the middle of the 3rd grade (1964). When we started the 7th grade many of us went to Point Pleasant Junior High and the others chose to go to Hannan High. I graduated in 1974 from PPHS, married Bob McCulty and moved to Gallipolis, OH on my parents farm (originally my grandparents place). My folks joined us there in 1980. In 1979 we had our first daughter, Elizabeth and in 1980 our second daughter Andrea. Whew! Two close together was almost like having twins. Thru the years I have worked doing various jobs; but, my greatest work of all was being a mom to our gilrls. I have also been involved with them thru school, college and their degrees and now grandchildren. The best Mother's Day gifts I ever had was to watch our daughters get their Assoc...Expand for more
iates, Bachelor and Master degrees. Yup, different years, but on Mother's Day. As empty nesters Bob and I enjoy riding his Harley and having horses (my love). Yes, I can ride and hope to continue until my body says, "no more". We are very active grandparents to our two grandsons Robbie and Ethan. We live on a farm now and while Bob is away sometimes with his job I take care of the farm and the animals. I love country life and animals. You can learn so much by watching how they interact with each other. My family ties is very important to me; but, what is a treasue is that Bob and I gave our life to Christ in 1992 and have been on the road for God ever since. Life has had it's ups and downs, frustrations and sadness...but I can truly say that we have been blessed.
