Cathy's Story
I lived in San Leandro, CA for about 21 years, Then I lived in Redwood City for around 3 years after I got married to my first husband. I never had children. We then separated and Got a divorce in 1980. I Moved to San Carlos, CA. and stayed there for about 25 years. At that time I did not know that I was going to get remarried again. I met David on a dating service on the internet.
So At the age of 49 I decided to pack all of my belongings and moved to Illinois. where I met my second husband and we got married on September 8th 2006. Now I am very happy with this relationship and we have been together for 6 years. I am now 58 and I work in a nursing home as a Housekeeper/Laundry aid in Illinois.
I always wanted to be a singer when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea. As it turns out, they were right. Because In 1998 I joined a professional chorus called the Mission Valley Chapter with about 70 members. Not to brag, but we were good. We won 1st place a lot of times in competitions against other choruses. We won 1st place medals to place around our necks and collected trophies. We wore fancy sparkling outfits and we traveled.
If I were to see a Teacher again, It would be David West My Music Teacher...Expand for more
. Because He encouraged me to be a Professional singer.
I like to sit back and drink a cold ice tea and watch a good movie.
The one person from my past who I'd most like to see again is my friend Barbara Osborne, I think she got married after High School and changed her last name to Currie? If anybody knows her where about PLEASE write to me and let me know, because she moved away and I have no idea where she is located at. I miss her very much.
My best friend would tell you I'm Sweet, but people who don't know me very well would probably describe me as Outgoing. I share my home with my husband in, which I find kindhearted. Back in 1998 I had a trophy that was called WOMAN OF NOTE in which I received From The Mission Valley Chorus. That was the best day that I ever had. In 10 years, I hope to be Retired and. I'm going to get there by doing the Best Job Ever.. I Had 2 Friends that were dear to me. They helped me when I was going through a separation From my first Husband. They found me a Place to live and stayed with me for awhile until I was able to cope with my situation. We traveled a lot together, and we were the best of friends. That I have lost a lot of weight. And they would be surprised that I look young for my age.
