Cathy's Story
Life
Upon graduation I attended nursing school at Christ Hospital/UC. Once completing nursing school I moved to Houston, Tx w/ my good friend & fellow classmate Kathy Bond. We set the town on fire and w/in a couple years both of us got married. Since that time I have become a transplanted southerner, moving between Atlanta, Houston and now Birmingham, Al. I'm happily married (husband # 2 ) and have 4 children (14, 10, 2, newborn). As a family we love to travel, camp, have debates on topics such as the meaning of life and pursuit of happiness... stay young and full of life... and enjoy being with one another.
I'm still in the nursing field and work as a case manager in the Cardiac Cath Lab at the University of Alabama/Birmingham. I love my current job but always find myself thinking about becoming self employed as a consultant in the emerging field of telemedicine. I just haven't found the courage to break away from the structure of an institution. Perhaps one of you will feel compelled to give me some ideas and suggestions on how I can persue this dream of self employment... I am all ears!
