Cathy's Story
As a family, we left Chatham in 1973, moving back to Calgary, where Michael and I graduated from Dr. E.P. Scarlet High School. I was married in 1976 to Allen DeGeer and we have two sons, one daughter, and one grandson! We moved to Banff in 1983,when my husband purchased a Shell service station. He now owns an automotive repair shop in Banff. on-call firefighter for the Town of Banff! I worked on and off through the years, but now am retired in the winter and I work at Spur Valley Golf Course in the summer in the Pro Shop a couple of afternoons a week. I move to Spur Valley RV park in April, back to Banff in October. Allen comes out on weekends. Spur Valley is just north of Radium, BC. My much loved twin brother, Michael Wall, became a lawyer and succumbed to AIDS in 1990 at the beginning of the AIDS crisis. With his loss went part of my soul and I miss him everyday.
