Cathy's Story
Life
Good grief! My friends and pastors encouraged me to write a book. I tried. We decided that no one would believe it.
I am now retired. Permanent disability from a brain tumor.
Was married in 1971, with one child, Maggie, 2 years later. Divorced and stayed single for 21 years until I met Ron, my childhood sweetheart. After 4 years of fighting it, we married and, after nearly 10 years, have settled into a very content life.
We're as different as oil and vinegar, but together we make salad dressing! He's a work-aholic/homebody and keeps the home fires burning while I trek through the African bush. We love the Lord Jesus Christ; He's the cement.
I have 3 grandsons that I have spoiled rotten, just as I did their mother. My son-in-law is a gem. I consider myself blessed.
School
Somebody out there knows and remembers a heck of a lot more than I do!!!!
College

ollege (then Rosary Hill) for 1 year immediately after high school. Illness led to dropping out. Then attended Villa Maria College for one year, until 1967. Went back to college in 1975 (the years in between are a blur!) and graduated in '79 with a B.A. in Psych.
Graduated from Christian Leadership University in 1995 with M.A. in Biblical Studies,and Christian Leadership Seminary in 1997 with D.Min.
Workplace
Began working at Deaconess Hospital until merger with Buffalo General. Remained in middle management until resigning position. Continued there until taking a management position at heyman Laboratories. When they merged with SmithKline Beecham, I continued there until 1997, while attending postgraduate courses. Retired on permanent disability resulting from surgical intervention for benign brain tumor.
Presently working part time, but primarily in part time missionary work.
