CATHERINE's Story
Hi, friends! I moved to the Portland area in 79 and graduated from PSU in 81 and began my teaching career.
Now I am a retired high school Spanish teacher, but do "selective" substitute teaching, I was honored to be named Oregon's Teacher of the Year for 2004. I really enjoy my career and have been active in providing professional development activites.
I'm married to Ron Brown, who is a retired educator - counselor, Social Studies and Coach. We love to travel, and spend time with family and friends.
Ron has 4 grown sons, and through them we have grandchildren: Sisters - Marquett...Expand for more
e and Makana and are Steve Brown's kids.
My older sister, Ann, passed away in 2019, so none of my family is in Eugene. My twin, Barb and her wife Bella, and my brother Phil and his wife Wendy all live in the Portland area.
Barb worked at Intel, but is now retired. She still plays music and directs the Intel Singers. Phil is a retired math professor, and still paints incredible art work.
As Ron only likes road trips, I have friends I travel with overseas. I feel fortunate to have had many 'trips of a lifetime" in the past few years, and look forward to exploring more new places.
