I have kept in touch with a handful of real friends from high school, one particularly special one Âbut of course you are ALL special in your own way(s) ;-)
We each chose very different paths yet I find it so amazing that as we each hit 40, all of a sudden we were questioning the validity of our decisions and current points in life. I can only say (as the wiser one of course)...Hmmm....Life is what you make it!
Lighten up people! the V[I]P with the 2.5, the white fence, the luxury car...slow it down!! Smell the roses, maybe even plant a few of your own...(PS: you still look awesome to me!)
You, going through the divorce...the grass is ALWAYS greener from a distance...just keep that in mind as you close the gate.

And for the rest of you, hope you all realize how well you actually ARE doing, regardless of whether you've completed your youthful 'to-do' list, regardless of the type of car you're driving, regardless of the house you live in/rent. The problem with OUR generation was setting out to be THE generation to follow. But now, looking at the generations that followed, I think, at least we HAD a chance to make those dreams come true. It's time to go back to the simple life.
