Cecilia's Story

Cecilia is from Honolulu, Hawaii. She is married to Doug Doron since October 20, 1990. Her schools include Anderson Union High School. She works(ed) at County of Shasta for 23 years in the Department of Social Services. Before graduation Cecilia attended Meadow Lane School, Anderson Elementary,,Waimanalo Intermediate then back to Anderson High School to graduate in 1965. I attended Shasta College School of Cosmetology in the fall of '65 and started working at Maxine's Beauty in Redding for about 18 years. Before getting hired by Shasta County I worked at Jhirmack, Plywood and Safeway in Red Bluff these jobs were all ended because each business closed in the 80's and I went back to Shasta College to study Sociology...hence I was qualified to work at the county. Fingers - So Inspirational! Cecilia took piano lessons in the 50's. After very short time the teacher went to my father and said, "Mr. Wade, you are wasting your money and my time because this girl has NO talent," that was the last time we ever saw that teacher. Cecilia enjoys Hawaiian music especially Israel "IZ" Kamakawiwo'ole and The Brothers Cazimero. Books she likes include James Patterson novels {usually Books On Tape}. My favorite movie is "Bohemian Rhapsody". One of Cecilia's favorite quotes is:""Always tell the truth because the truth is easier to remember than a lie" I first heard this over 60 years ago from My Dad..."BUD" when I was kindergarten at Meadow Lane school there I was so shy that I told a lie about a certain day being my birthday when it wasn't. This a completely different story but it was life changing...ask me why!!!". Now I'm in the COVID stage of my life and I'm getting to know my husband all over again.
